Tracey Barbour-Gillett

Tracey Barbour-Gillett is a Baltimore-based philanthropy professional, strategic grantmaker, and nonprofit sector champion. Driven by the belief that the people living in communities have the best solutions to the challenges they face, she supports the sustainability of nonprofit organizations and their implementation of community change initiatives. 

As a program officer for community development at the Abell Foundation. She manages a grants portfolio focused on increasing investment in Baltimore city’s communities, businesses and individuals. Her goals include advancing equitable resource allocation and investment in support of critical organizations serving Baltimore communities. Her subject area focus includes:  neighborhood stabilization and revitalization, social entrepreneurship, economic mobility and financial asset development. 

Tracey is a two time Maryland Daily Record Top 100 Women winner in recognition of her professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring. She has served in leadership positions on various boards and advisory committees and is the immediate past board chair of the Maryland Philanthropy Network and is the Board Secretary for Baltimore Corps. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from American University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore.
