Tamara Mihalap

Tamara Mihalap has over 30 years of experience in international training and education that includes teaching English in Thailand, Portugal and Italy, developing participative health education programs for CARE-Ecuador, implementing and supporting USAID training programs in El Salvador and India and conducting cross-cultural training in Vietnam.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Vassar College and a Master’s in International Education and Training from American University. Having lived in eight countries throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America, Tamara is currently in Chicago with her husband and two children, where she develops and promotes study abroad programs for Accademia Italiana, an art and design university in Italy. She is actively engaged in her community as a leader in her local chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and a regular volunteer at a local food pantry.
